a semantic field is a set of words grouped semantically (that is, by meaning), referring to a specific subject. In the first part of the novel there is not much tension but it slowly builds up especially when Atticus represents Tom Robinson in court and this causes so much anger as Atticus ( the most respected and best lawyer) is representing a black person in court. The white community know that Tom Robinson was innocent but still said he was guilty.

How Harper Lee ridicules the white community?
At the start of chapter 22 (page 234) no one thought that Atticus could do it but further on in the chapter (page 238) Miss Maudie says “I thought, Atticus Finch won’t win, he can’t win, but he’s the only man in these parts who can keep a jury out so long in a case like that. And I thought to myself, well, we’re making a step -it’s just a baby-step, but it’s a step.” This shows there has been progress as it actually comes into a persons head that Atticus could do it. I think that Maycomb county especially the White community were scared that Atticus might just do it as the jury is taking so long. Also on page 238 it says “Did it ever strike you that Judge Taylor naming Atticus to defend that boy was no accident? That Judge Taylor might have had his reasons for naming him?” Harper Lee writing this suggests that even Judge Taylor thought this was a bit wrong and wanted it to be a fair jury. On page 239 Bob Ewell stopped in front of Atticus and spat in his face, and told him he’d get him if it took the rest of his life. This shows Bob Ewell was adamant that Tom Robinson raped his daughter Mayella Ewell when he knows himself that Tom Robinson didn’t rape Mayella and Mayella went on to Tom but failed so he wants Tom in prison for in the end no reason at all or maybe his daughter told him otherwise but he knows she is lying.
To kill a Mockingbird-Character
Scout in my opinion is probably the most important character in To kill A Mocking Bird as she is the narrator after all. In different parts of the book it is her as the narrator when she is younger and other parts when she is older. She is very smart like the time she knew how to read before going to school and her tutor/teacher wasn’t happy that maybe she is smarter than her and already knows how to read. I think Scout is who she is because of the way Atticus (her dad) has raised her as he doesn’t really do what most parents do like always tell their kids off or mature them he just talks to them.
Atticus is probably as important if not more important than Scout as the story is based around him and the controversy of him defending a black person in court. As he is a calm, intelligent and his admirable behavior he is respected by everyone in Maycomb. From what i could tell from the book most people look up to him and go to him when they are in trouble. As 90% of people in Maycomb are racist they were not happy at all that he agreed to defend a black person in court. From what i could tell from the book i don’t think he cared that people were talking about him and bad mouthing him that he is defending a black person in court as whenever his children told him he didn’t mind it.
The curious incident of the dog in the Night-Time-ANTI HERO
The curious incident of the Night-Time is about Christopher, a fifteen-year-old boy with an autistic spectrum condition, lives with his father; he explains that his mother, Judy, died two years ago. He discovers the dead body of Wellington, the neighbor’s dog, speared by a garden fork. Mrs. Shears, Wellington’s owner, calls the police, and Christopher comes under suspicion. When a policeman touches him, he hits the policeman, and is arrested, then released with a police caution. He decides to investigate the dog’s death, despite his father’s orders to stay out of other people’s business. However, he is severely limited by his fears and difficulties when interpreting the world around him. Throughout his adventures, Christopher records his experiences in a book: a “murder mystery novel”. During his investigation, Christopher meets people whom he has never before encountered, even though they live on the same street, including the elderly Mrs. Alexander, who informs Christopher that his mother had an affair with Mr. Shears and had been with him for a long time.
Ed, his father, discovers the book and confiscates it from Christopher, after a brief fight between them. While searching for the confiscated book, Christopher uncovers a trove of letters which his mother wrote to him, dated after her supposed death, which his father has also hidden. He is so shocked by his father lying about his mother’s death that he is unable to move, curls up on the bed, vomits and groans for several hours until his father returns home. Ed realizes that Christopher has read the letters and cleans him up. He then confesses that he had indeed lied about Judy’s death and also that it was he who killed Wellington, stating that it was a mistake resulting from his anger after a heated argument with Mrs. Shears. Christopher, having lost all trust in his father and fearing that Ed might try to kill him since he had already killed the dog, runs away.
I think Christopher Broone is an Anti-Hero because he isn’t really skilled at much except for being probably smarter than his teachers, I also think he is an Anti-Hero because even though the owner a convictional hero like most he just tries to do the right thing and he isn’t trying to be a hero I think he is just trying to prove that he did not do it and so when he finds out who did it he will prove it to the owner who did it and that he did not.
Diary of a wimpy kid- Anti Hero
I am writing about a boy called Greg Heffley who is in a series of books called The Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, It is a series on a boy called Greg who is an unpopular and undersized middle-school aged boy. He is a good kid at heart who genuinely wants to do well, but he can be selfish, lazy, greedy, rude, and arrogant. Throughout the series, his schemes to gain popularity in his middle school, attract girls, and acquire money always backfire. In the book he is often depicted as wearing a white T-shirt with black shorts, and having short dark hair with three flicks at the top. Greg has two brothers one who is called Manny and he is 3 years old, Manny often gets to do what he wants when he wants and if he does something bad his parents (Frank Heffley and Susan Heffley) don’t notice it and will often blame Greg for not looking after him properly if he does do something bad. He also has an older brother called Rodrick (17) who often bullies him and gets him in to trouble at times for no reason.
He has an on and off best friend and he takes part in Greg’s schemes, and is sometimes a victim of Greg’s manipulation and deception. The two have a very complicated relationship, as Greg sometimes takes advantage of Rowley, and his own schemes fail due to Rowley’s idiotic behavior and stupidity. Rowley’s parents view Greg as a bad influence on their son, mostly the father, because of Greg’s brashness and habit for getting himself and Rowley into trouble.
Greg rarely learns from his ill-fated mistakes and continues to scheme and plot for his various goals. An awkward, unpopular, eccentric schoolmate named Fregley, whose many oddities disgust those around him, including Greg, try to distance them from Fregley. But he won’t leave Greg alone. Greg is also noted for having many attractions to girls throughout the series, most notably a girl named Holly Hills but that never quite works out.
Greg is an Anti-Hero in my opinion because he has everything an Anti-Hero needs like he is the main character; he lacks all the qualities a hero has like having morality and idealism. An Anti-Hero is typically clumsy and Greg is very clumsy like the times he fell in to a fire alarm when he fell asleep. An Anti-Hero is unskilled as well and if you read the book you will know that Greg Heffley has no talents apart from maybe being good at one game on his play station. One thing he is not is unsolicited he is very lazy and does nothing apart from watch TV and does no exercise.
